Mercer Boy Can Dance!

The action in this year's 2014 March Madness NCAA Basketball Tournament has been insane! The first couple of rounds are complete and we have already witnessed everything from buzzer beaters, to overtimes, to Cinderella stories.
The two teams that got everyone's attention is Dayton and Mercer. Dayton came into the tournament as an 11 seed but shocked the world in the first round by beating the 6th seed Ohio State. In the second round everyone counted them out once again against Syracuse. They went on to win this game as well! They are now matched up against Stanford in the Sweet 16, which will be played this weekend!
The focus of this article is on the number 14 seed Mercer. Mercer beat the number 3 seed Duke in the first round of play. Almost every person who filled out a bracket lost their chance at a perfect bracket and the billion dollars Warren Buffet was offering. The best story about this win is the Nae Nae dance by Mercers very own Kevin Canevari. What makes this even more hilarious is that Kevin did not score one single point in this victory. Mercer went on to get blown out by Tennessee in round two. Check out the video above!

The NCAA Basketball Tournament is Finally Upon Us!

That time of year that all sports fans have been waiting for is finally here! March Madness is upon us! Starting tomorrow teams will kick it off in the first rounds of battle. There has been much hype on filling out your brackets. It's one of the top gambling events in the country!
Who's going to win? Will it be the Florida Gators? Maybe Kansas? Michigan State? Or could it be the undefeated Wichita State? Many people are filling out their brackets. Even president Obama has filled out his bracket and shared his picks with the country. He's going with Michigan State to win it all. After much research, I've noticed most experts have Florida, Arizona, Michigan State, and Wichita State.
What has been the biggest news about this years March Madness is a statement made by billionaire Warren Buffet. He stated that if anyone picks a perfect bracket, he will give them one billion dollars! This may seem like a great challenge, but good luck. The odds of picking a perfect bracket are 1 in 9 quintillion. I've never even heard of that number. Your odds of hitting the PowerBall are 20 times greater than picking a perfect bracket.
Many ESPN sports casters advise you to stay away from filling out a bracket. They say that it ruins the tournament for you because you get so frustrated and can't enjoy the games. This only applies to die hard basketball fans. If you're not a huge basketball fan, go ahead and fill out a bracket. Following the games will definitely educate you. Make sure you compare yours to President Barack Obama's! Fill out your bracket HERE!

Bryce Harper Is Not On Steroids

Harper looking like a house

Bryce Harper of the Washington Nationals made it clear that this offseason he was going to work as hard as he can to get bigger and better. With all the allegations going on in the MLB, he wanted to make it clear that he wasn't on performance enhancing drugs. He stated that coming into training camp in 2014 that he would be "as big as a house."

He strolled into camp looking gigantic just as he promised. The funniest thing about it is what he was wearing. He came into camp with a shirt that read "PED FREE." PED = Performance Enhancing Drugs. In an interview with Harper he expressed his excitement for the new baseball year coming up. He is now entering his third Major League season. He had to undergo knee surgery in the offseason. He claims he's feeling refreshed and ready to play ball.

PED FREEIn his first two seasons he broke a .270 batting average with twenty or more home runs in both seasons. This is pretty impressive for a new player in the league. Usually it takes a few years to make it to the show but Harper has been a huge prospect since his youth. I expect huge number from Bryce Harper this season.
